Since this is describing the ASCII character set, use the correct
ASCII abbreviation for character 012. All references I can find which seem to be even remotely authoritative and/or definitive use "lf" (for "line feed") rather than "nl" (for "new line"). See https://www.ascii-code.com and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ASCII From Eitan Adler in PR misc/52989
